When you combine a commitment to community, cutting-edge technology and the most popular entertainment and gaming systems – you end up with a series and impacts which improve kid’s health, connectivity and normalcy when in a hospital.
In 2003, Microsoft Canada and the Children’s Miracle Network founded The Child Life Interactive Computers for Kids (CLICK) program. Access to technology and electronic entertainment systems like the ones provided by the CLICK program help provide patients at children’s hospitals with the opportunity to interact with their friends and family and engage in therapeutic activities with the support of a Child Life Specialist, while serving as a welcome distraction from the painful reality of disease and injury.
CLICK has been deployed into six hospitals including Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec, Alberta Children’s Hospital, IWK Health Centre, McMaster Children’s Hospital and most recently at SickKids in Toronto.
From the innovation being fostered through the CLICK program to hundreds of Xbox games and resources through to an array of events, we are extremely grateful for our partnership with Microsoft Canada.
