Walmart and Children’s Miracle Network share a proud history of helping children’s hospitals across Canada.  Since joining the network in 1994, Walmart has raised over $50 million!

In May, Walmart Canada associates reach out to their communities by selling Children's Miracle Network paper icons.  In 2010, associates continued to raise the bar by selling a record-setting $3.9 million, with proceeds supporting local children’s hospitals.

Walmart’s balloon campaign concludes with its annual signature event, the Walmart Walk for Miracles, which inspires thousands of Canadians to come out to 12 locations across the country. Through its network of stores, Walmart associates encourage customers to sign up, gather pledges and join them at their local Walk site.

They are also the sponsor of Children's Miracle Network’s Champions presented by Walmart - a special program that brings together children representing 12 children’s hospital foundations to celebrate pediatric health and wellness.

The generosity witnessed in Walmart stores continues.  Throughout the year, associates in-store and at Walmart’s home office embark on multiple campaigns to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network.  Whether it’s a bake sale or a bowling tournament, the Walmart family knows how to pull together to help make miracles happen for children in their community.
