We know we still have a lot of work to do, and we’re ready to take on that challenge with our partners and supporters. Simply put: change kid’s health, change the future.

Slide 1 - Children’s Miracle Network was created in 1983. Children’s Miracle Network began as a televised fundraiser in a small studio in 1983, co-founded by Marie Osmond, John Schneider, Mick Shannon and Joseph G. Lake, along with a small, dedicated team of 20 children’s hospitals, 20 television stations, six sponsors and a handful of national staff.

Slide 2 - The first Canadian hospital foundation to join Children’s Miracle Network was CHEO Foundation. CHEO Foundation, our oldest member, has been a part of the network since its inception in 1983. The remaining 11 Canadian members joined in later years between 1984 and 2004.

Slide 3 - Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $50 million USD across North America for sick and injured kids. Children’s Miracle Network introduced Extra Life as a platform for thousands of united gamers around the world to support their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital through gaming.

Slide 4 - Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations (CCHF), formed in July 2017, is a coalition between 13 member hospital foundations across the country.

Slide 5 - CCHF manages the Children’s Miracle Network portfolio in Canada and continues to help raise money for children’s health through partner and program campaigns. Since CCHF was formed, it has raised over $141,000,000 for Canadian children’s hospitals.

Slide 6 - Walmart hits the $1b mark in North America. In 2018, Walmart reached a milestone in corporate fundraising. Their employees and customers have raised over $1 billion dollars in North America since becoming a partner. This is the largest fundraising total ever achieved by a corporation. In 2019, Walmart Canada reached another milestone after raising over $150 million in Canada alone since 1994.

Slide 7 - As of 2018, Children’s Miracle Network has raised $6,923,753,872 in North America. Over the past 37 years, we have made huge strides in children’s health in both Canada and the USA thanks to our partners, donors and Children’s Miracle Network programs.
